CHILIKA THE BRACKISH WATER LAGOON

Before starting anything i would tell you to read first part of chilika which was already written by me.

Here is another part of CHILIKA

After visited Nalabana Me and My friend decide to visit Satapada Grah which is less then an hours from chilika . There is a jetty from where all the tourist boats start. There are both motor boats as well as oars boats . you can find lot of traffic near the jetty.

Dolphin Point  - So in the Second part of visit we move towards the Dolphin point which is famous for Irrawaddy Dolphins . The dolphins are grayish in color . The boatman is the one who knows exact view point of dolphin ,Because there is a particular area within the lake that the dolphins usually roam around.

The most challenging part is capture the photos of a dolphin and also the sounds of the motor boats scare them away .

Rajhans Island - After visiting Dolphin point we move ahead to Rajhans Island which is famous for picnic spot . Its a narrow strip of sand island from where anyone can easily reach the Chilika sea mouth . The best thing of this Island is the numerous food shacks that sell prawn ,fish , crabs, and other sea foods. And you can also enjoy the making process of different items because all are cooked in front of you and served hot .

So here we end our trip--  A day well remembered

Some tips while you want to visit Chilika

- First and foremost important thing is always make sure that your travel boat has adequate life jackets

- A sun hat is good to carry

- Carry adequate drinking water

- Try to avoid bathing
